ecdsa – Low vs Excessive R worth signatures

I’ve a conceptual understanding of the R worth in as far as it could fall both above or under the X axis within the elliptical curve and that optimistic R values use an additional byte within the signature to point that they’re the truth is optimistic R values. I’m attempting to have a look at transactions to attempt to get my head round this in apply. For instance:

TXID: 4a8f2d489008f60c7d02526b5f264ae70c465e1ea4fe710243f04ca6b1e3b103

ScriptSig:

Versus

TXID: 4247bbae1e7d08ed31aee8fc1f65bf4dc7411fe7ff5f64d2d7d0f4ad3117c148

ScriptSig

Does this imply that as a result of the signature is simply 71 bytes within the first transaction (versus 72 within the second) that the R worth for the primary signature could be damaging?
